My name is Gary and I present Blast From The 80s and Blast From the 90s.

I’ve been presenting on radio since 2011 doing live ​shows for a station in Bristol and Weston-super-Mare, but then I decided to launch ​my own radio shows for other stations as well.

My first show in 2019 to be launched was Blast ​from the 80s, and then during lockdown in 2020 I ​started Blast from the 90s.

The aim of the shows is to bring back some great tunes from these decades that maybe you've not heard in a long while, but I also get to play your song from the decade as suggested by you the listener, which are great and sometimes so random, plus on every show I get to test your knowledge of the first lines of songs from either decade.

I've also been fortunate to chat to some musicians who have released songs in ​these decades as well, and play some exciting new tracks from them too when available, as well as this, we find out a bit more about them from when those big tunes were released and more about them away from music too.
